Estée Lauder Companies, Inc. is one of the world's leading manufacturers of skin care, cosmetics, perfume and hair care products. The company began in 1946 with Joseph Lauder and wife Estée Lauder starting producing cosmetics in New York. In 1964, Estée Lauder started Aramis Inc. producing fragrances for men. In 1967, she was named one of ten Outstanding Women in Business in the United States. Next year in 1968 Albert Einstein College of Medicine at Yeshiva University honored her with Spirit of Achievement Award. Today the company employs over 20,000 people, and has already crossed $5 billion sale mark.
